For security and spam prevention, a contact submission may also include its time, a one-way fingerprint derived from the requesting IP address, and limited browser user-agent information. We do not store the raw IP address with the contact message. Our web server or hosting provider may separately create standard technical logs containing details such as IP address, requested page, browser type, and request time.

The site uses essential Laravel session and security cookies where needed to protect forms, maintain request state, and display validation or success messages. We do not currently use advertising cookies, browser local storage, or an analytics service. If that changes, this policy will be updated to describe the actual practice.

We use information to operate and secure the website, deliver requested pages, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, understand contact requests, and reply when appropriate. We do not use contact details to send unrelated marketing messages.

Retention

Authorized administrators can archive or delete contact submissions. Technical logs are retained according to operational and hosting requirements.

Information shown by DailyUpdates.ca may originate from external or public data providers. This service data is separate from information about visitors. Providers may have their own terms and privacy practices, and source attribution is shown where appropriate.

The site may link to government agencies, data providers, employers, or other third parties. Their websites control their own privacy practices, and this policy does not apply after you leave DailyUpdates.ca.
